George Gershwin

Gershwin's compositions are nothing short of iconic, capable of conjuring up images of 1930s New York like no others. They have been adapted for use in films and television and many have become jazz standards, performed in clubs and cabarets around he world every night. This is an opportunity to see a dazzling performance of his greatest works in a different context - the telling of his own story.

Stay on after the show for a special post-concert talk with Trader Faulkner, veteran stage and film actor, dancer and chronicler of the Gershwin era.Trader’s cousin was the song-writer and musical collaborator, Kay Swift, inspiration for many of Gershwin’s works and the woman he was set to marry had his life not been cut tragically short.

Tickets £12 in advance or £15 on the door.
