Portraits available for visitors to the Food Market

Walk away with a personalised drawing at no charge on Sunday 5 July
June 28, 2026
Visitors to Dukes Meadows Food Market will have an extra reason to linger on Sunday 5 July, when a caricaturist sets up in the farmyard courtyard to offer free portraits to anyone who drops by. From 10.30am to 1.30pm, shoppers can take a seat, strike a pose and walk away with a personalised drawing at no charge — a playful addition to one of Chiswick’s most cherished Sunday routines.
The free caricatures will return again on Sunday 13 September, giving families, regulars and curious newcomers two chances over the summer to enjoy the pop‑up artistry. On Sunday 23 August, the market will switch things up with free face painting during the same 10.30am–1.30pm slot, adding another splash of colour to the season.
The Food Market continues to run every Sunday from 10am to 2pm in the farmyard setting of Grove Park Farm House, beside the children’s play area. Known for its fresh produce, friendly atmosphere and strong community spirit, the market operates as a social enterprise: proceeds from stallholders help maintain and improve the surrounding park, keeping the space vibrant for everyone who uses it.
With summer in full swing, these free creative sessions promise to bring an extra sense of fun to a market already beloved for its local character. Whether you’re picking up fruit and veg, meeting friends for a coffee or simply enjoying a stroll through the park, the chance to leave with a caricature — or a freshly painted face — adds a delightful twist to a Sunday morning in Chiswick.
Dukes Meadows Trust is a community based charity that works to improve and maintain Dukes Meadows Park. The Food Market Chiswick is one of the charity’s social enterprises.
