Chiswick Pier will host its annual Party on the Pier on Sunday 12 July, with a full programme of family activities, boat trips, food stalls and live entertainment. The event, organised by Chiswick Pier Trust, runs from 11am and is expected to draw large crowds to the riverside.

One of the most popular features of the day — the free boat trips aboard the Golden Salamander — will return, sponsored by Fuller’s. The boat will depart every 45 minutes, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets cannot be booked in advance, and visitors are advised to collect them early.

Children’s entertainment will include sessions from Amanda’s Action Kids, along with face painting throughout the day. Ayesha, who runs a weekly fitness class at Pier House, will hold a taster session at 12.30pm.

Food and drink will be available from a range of stalls, including ice cream, homemade cakes, refreshments and a bar serving Fuller’s beer, cider and wine. Sipsmith will also host a stall. Live music will run during the afternoon.

Visitors can also browse a selection of artisan craft stalls, offering handmade goods and locally produced items.

The event is free to attend and is one of the Trust’s key annual community gatherings on the Thames.

Events like this are organised by the Chiswick Pier Trust which works to engage people with the River Thames. It provides access to the Thames and supports major river events, as well as organising events of its own.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
