Learn how seals and other mammals on the Thames are being protected

Mary Tester, founder of Thames Seal Watch, will be discussing the latest updates on marine mammal sightings in the Thames, including last year's increase in dolphin sightings.
She will also highlight an innovative project currently in development to address the challenges of marine mammal rescues in the river.
Join Mary as she shares insights into the thriving wildlife of the Thames and the efforts to protect these incredible creatures at 7pm on Tuesday, 29 April.
Doors open to The Pier House Corney Reach Way (W4 2UG) at 6.30pm and refreshments will be on sale.
Tickets cost £5 or are free to members of Chiswick Pier Trust (CPT) – non-members welcome

The Chiswick Pier Trust has also organised a VE Day Commemoration Cruise to Westminster. Like its ever-popular Mother’s Day Cruise, this event is expected to sell out so you are advised to book your tickets soon.
While VE Day itself is on 8 May, to support this year’s 80th anniversary, the bank holiday Monday 5 May has been officially dedicated to community celebrations.
Whilst sailing down the river there will be a commentary including information about the impact the war had on London and the damage that was caused. Included is a two-course buffet lunch. Drinks will be available to purchase from the bar on board.
The boat sets sail at 1.30 p.m. with embarkation from 1.00 p.m, it will be returning to Chiswick Pier after about two hours depending on tides..
