The next event to be hosted by the Chiswick Pier Trust will be a two-day art workshop run by Julia Cassels.

Julia has run one day workshops here before but this time the classes will be on 12 and 13 October from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

She will be exploring watercolour techniques, brushwork and colour, starting with small studies using a limited palette on day one then leading to a full finished painting on day two.

The fee for the two days is £90 and you need to bring your own materials and a packed lunch.

Then on Sunday 5 November, come and join Chiswick Pier Trust on a cruise to watch the Battersea Park fireworks from the river. The boat will leave Chiswick Pier at 6pm boarding from 5.45pm. It will then cruise down to below Albert Bridge stemming the tide off Battersea Park to watch the fireworks which begin at 7.10pm and sail back to arrive at Chiswick Pier around 9pm.

During the cruise a fork supper will be served with a choice of either cottage pie or vegetarian lasagne served with French bread and salad.

On board will be a bar where drinks may be purchased.

The cruise in on an open topped boat which is great for viewing but has limited seating on the lower deck.

The trust works to engage people with the River Thames. It provides access to the Thames and support major river events, as well as organising events of its own.
