Wet Weather Fails to Dampen Spirits on Speak Out Cruise
Chiswick Pier Trust hosted tip aboard the Golden Salamander
On Tuesday 8 August Chiswick Pier Trust hosted a cruise aboard the Golden Salamander for the Hounslow based charity Speak Out, which supports adults with autism and learning disabilities.
The damp weather tried but failed to spoil the afternoon and the members of Speak Out were all in high spirits and really enthusiastic about going on a boat and cruising to Westminster and back.
There was even more excitement because the Mayor of Hounslow Councillor Afzaal Kiani accepted an invitation to attend and arrived in full regalia.
A spokesperson for Chiswick Pier Trust said, “There were lots of photo opportunities and chances for him to meet and talk to the various members and staff of Speak Out. A very memorable afternoon was had and we hope to be able to offer more opportunities in the future for other charitable events. “

Speak Out Hounslow has been helping adults with learning disabilities & autism in the borough for 25 years.
It aims to support people to speak up for themselves to have a voice and be heard.
