Events Coming Up at Chiswick Pier
Guided walk with Alexander Technique teacher and Midsummer jazz cruise
The cruise travels to Westminster and back

The series of events organised by the Chiswick Pier Trust continues with a guided walk with Alexander Technique teacher, Elizabeth Dodgson.
On Friday 12 May this sociable walk by the river departs from Pier House.
It will be an introduction to the Alexander Technique for some or a reminder of the method to those already familiar.
Walk Tall will start at 1.30pm with an hour of teaching on how to walk with freedom and ease then this will be put into practice during a walk from the Pier, over Barnes Bridge, round the Leg O’Mutton Loop (nature reserve) and back to the Pier House.
There will be two groups and speeds: “slow and thoughtful” and a normal-paced walking group. If you don’t fancy the whole distance you can sit by the river and be picked up as the group walks back.

To celebrate midsummer, Chiswick Pier Trust would like to welcome you to the river by hosting a Jazz Cruise on Friday 30 June. It will be leaving Chiswick Pier at 7pm and sailing to Westminster and back.
On board to serenade you whilst sailing the Thames will be the jazz band Anacousis. During the cruise a two course buffet supper will be served and drinks will be available to purchase from the bar on board.

The trust works to engage people with the River Thames. It provides access to the Thames and support major river events, as well as organising events of its own.
