Pick your spot to watch the race near Chiswick Pier
At the Pier House you can watch the start and finish of the race in comfort on television, then walk outside to watch the live action as the boats pass. Chiswick Pier provides one of the best views of the Boat Race so you can watch the crews as they power upstream past Chiswick Eyot, the Pier and through to the final bend before Barnes Railway Bridge.
There’ll be live music from Shenanigans, food from the barbecue, light refreshments and a Fullers’ Bar serving a range of drinks including draught London Pride.
The Pier House opens at 12.00 noon for pre-race refreshments and entertainment.
The race starts at Putney around 2.15 pm. with the crews passing Chiswick Pier around 11 minutes later.

Chiswick Pier and Pier House are managed by the Chiswick Pier Trust, a registered charity dedicated to putting Londoners in touch with the River Thames. It is staffed mainly by volunteers.
