Camellia Show Returns to Chiswick House Gardens

No charge for entry to see the rare and historic plants

The Camellia Show 2018 is taking place in the Grade 1 listed conservatory in Chiswick House Gardens from 22 February 2018 to 25th March. Once again there is no charge for entry this year.

The displays will be open from 10am to 4pm each day, except for Fridays and the Camellia shop is open every day generously supported by the Chiswick House Friends.

The rare and historic Camellias offer a gorgeous array of blooms; pink, red, white and striped. Visit the collection of 33 different varieties, many of which are descended from the original planting in 1828. Among them is the unique Middlemist’s red, originally brought from China in 1804 by Londoner John Middlemist, a nurseryman from Shepherd's Bush.

There will be free tours on Wednesdays 7th, 14th and 21st March at 11am in which knowledgeable volunteer guides will cover the history of the gardens, Conservatory, and the historic back sheds area which is not normally open to the public. The 45 minute tours start outside the entrance to the Camellia Show where your Garden Guide will meet you.

Chiswick House is open on weekends during the show, 10am-5pm.
