After investigations, no allegation of crime made
Chiswick House have confirmed that police were called to investigate an alleged incident yesterday (Monday, June 18) in Chiswick House Gardens.
A statement from Chiswick House and Gardens Trust said that following the police investigation, no allegation of crime was made . An ambulance was also called to the park after the alleged incident was reported at around 3 p.m.
The area was cordoned off for some time. It is not thought that anyone was injured or required hospital treatment.
The statement from the Trust said : “Police have investigated an alleged incident yesterday at Chiswick House Gardens. Following their investigation, no allegation of crime was made.”
Sarah Finch-Crisp, Director of Chiswick House and Gardens Trust commented ;
“Public safety is hugely important to us. The 65 acre gardens are well used and much loved with around 1 million visits a year being made.
The presence of our park Warden Service, introduced in 2010 following the restoration of the gardens, helps to ensure that the gardens have an excellent safety record; this has led to our being awarded the Mayor of London’s Safer Parks Award in the top gold category for two years running”.
