Dennis Hollywood treks 400 miles in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support
Former Chiswick Community School student Dennis Hollywood set off last Friday (17th July) from Centrepoint, on a sponsored London to Glasgow walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Instead of taking the direct route of 400 miles he’s doing a zig zag route which will cover 700 miles.
The route will take in two-long distance national trails: the Heart of England Way and The Pennine Way.
He aims to arrive in George Square, Glasgow, about 37 days later on 26 August 2009.
So far he has raised £1,500 in sponsorship. Dennis is paying for all his own accommodation and expenses on the way, but would welcome more sponsors.
