Chiswick Dads Reach New Heights For School's Charity

By climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in one weekend

Whilst most of us were sunning ourselves this bank holiday weekend, two dads from Grove Park, Anthony McManus and Roy Rees Williams were busy climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

They took on the grueling challenge to raise money for The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School's sports foundation which is helping to promote participation in recreation and sports and help young people through sports development courses.

Both Anthony and Roy, whose sons attend CVMS, expressed their thanks to all those who supported them through sponsorship and to the school for promoting such a worthy cause.

 

Anthony said it was probably one of the hardest challenges he has ever attempted walking through the deep snow on Ben Nevis and starting to climb Scafell at 4 a.m. with very little sleep, but also very rewarding.
