Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work Wins Queen's Award


Chosen for work in corporate responsibility and sustainability

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of Sustainable Development for their approach to corporate responsibility in the workplace and beyond. They are the only company to win in the London area for their contribution to Sustainable Development.

The annual awards are judged by a panel appointed by the Prime Minister and set up to recognise companies that have excelled within their field.

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, was amongst just 9 companies that were selected for Sustainable Development and the only company to win in London.

Kay Chaston CEO of Enjoy-Work says “This is the first time we have entered The Queen’s Award for Enterprise and I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved. Over the past 10 years the Enjoy-Work team has ignited a business revolution, creating a sustainable workplace that has received the greatest honour bestowed on businesses in the UK. We are very much looking forward to enhancing the experience of our guests and furthering our commitment to sustainability.

The Enjoy-Work team submitted their debut entry for Enjoy-Tomorrow, their sustainable development programme, which encapsulates their approach not only to the workplace but how the company protects the environment and works with its local community. For this they had to engage not only their own team but also the companies based at the site that include Swarovski, Discovery and Tullow Oil.

The West London company has developed a unique to property management, linking the working environment with commercial success. From activities such as competitive football matches and charity fun runs through to experiences such as Well Being Week, the idea is to improve performance and health of the workforce. A total of 95% of Chiswick Park’s Guests (tenants) have said that the Enjoy-Work environment and ethos enhances their productivity.

As well as providing a sustainable workplace for the 8000 employees on the park, Enjoy-Work also works to support the local community and over the past 10 years has partnered with Chiswick School to offer pupils extensive work experience in the Park.

They have also worked to make the Park environmentally friendly, from improving recycling amongst the businesses on the park to building a 100,000 strong wormery within the grounds. Enjoy-Work aims to recycle 95% of its waste, encouraging companies to do their bit. Starbucks recycles their coffee grounds which the team recycle into compost.
