Injured Poodle Makes Full Recovery

Owner says thank you to ChiswickW4.com members after 'overwhelming response'

A local dog owner is saying a massive thank you to the members of ChiswickW4.com after an overhwhelming response to her appeal for help to pay for treatment to her injured poodle, Ellie.

Over £1,700 was donated after the appeal on this site which a significant proportion being given anonymously directly to the vet or into an account set up to receive donations.

As of today, Ellie, who was badly hurt after being hit by a car in October, has been given the all clear and does not have to go back to the vet.

Owner Pam Waple said, "I am so proud of the way she adapted to hopping and never once tried to get at the dressing. All we have to remind us of that shocking day she only lost two toes, What a very small price to pay as it could have been so much worse it doesn't bear thinking about."

Pam's pet insurance did not cover the full cost of the treatment and it was only with the support of local people that Ellie was able to get the medical assistance needed.

 Ellie is seven years old and has with Pam or the past four years.
