Owner Appeals For Donations To Save Injured Dog

Needs £1 each from readers to get Ellie a skin graft

A Chiswick dog owner has appealed for donations to help with the cost of an operation for her dog who was hit by a car.

Ellie was badly injured on Monday 15th October and her right leg needs a skin graft costing approximately £2500. Her distraught owner Pam Waple says every visit to the vet costs £293 and she is appealing to readers to donate £1.00 to help Ellie get the treatment she needs to recover. Pam's pet insurance will not cover the cost.

"All  I need is 2,500 people to give £1. This will pay for a skin graft, dressings, medication and physiotherapy she might need after the operation", says Pam.

Ellie is seven years old and has with Pam or the past four years.

"The reason she is so special is that she saved my life by alerting me to my breast cancer three years ago, and without her I would no longer be here. I owe her my life, therefore I have to do everything I can to ensure she has a full and long life,", says Pam.

Any donations can be sent to Medivet, Richmond, 171 Lower Richmond Rd, London SW147HX or contact 02088786080 and ask for Ellie's fund. Pam says it is important for her to know who has given what, so she can thank them all individually. The account currently contains £626 and a payment plan has been set up.

Pam has also set up an account with Santander, Chiswick High Road. The sort code is 090128

Account no 36026644.

She says she has been "overwhelmed" at the kindness and generosity of people.

"I am all Ellie has as a voice, so I owe it to her to do all I can to help her back to health," says Pam.
