Unexploded bombs on South Parade
Police close roads around Bedford Park Area
Around 5.30pm this Sunday evening (June 29th) two foot-long bombs were discovered in a garden in South Parade. They are believed to be World War II ordnance.
Police were called to the scene and explosive experts were brought in. The bombs were made safe and taken away for disposal.
South Parade and some roads in the Bedford Park area were closed and leading to severe delays particularly on Turnham Green Terrace. The roads have since been reopened.
