Over five hundred pets and proud owners took part in record turnout
Over 500 dogs of all shapes and sizes were entered into the ninth Chiswick House Gardens Dog Show this year. The Best in Show was Fifi, owned by Stephanie Radet-Kirby and in reserve place was Ditto, a dachshund. All photos are by Matt Bishop.
"The weather was great, and thousands of visitors thronged the showground enjoying the wonderful atmosphere in the early autumn sunshine. This year’s event has broken all previous records, said the organisers.
Celebrities attending the event included Richard Osman of Pointless; actress Jenny Seagrove; journalist Rageh Omaar; actor James Dreyfus; dog trainer Dima Yeremenko; Charlotte Hawkins from Sky TV; JoAnne Good & Anna Webb from BBC London’s Barking Hour, and Martin Townsend editor of the Sunday Express.

Dogtown of Acton Lane sponsored the Programme, and Acton Lane Vets the rings. The Dog Coach organised the Have-a-Go Agility event, giving hundreds of dogs a chance to try out the course. Many dogs also had the opportunity to try out the Flyball course, and many visitors had an opportunity to visit the Lea & Sandeman wine bar and the Sam’s Brasserie Pimms tent.
