Piccadilly Line Petition Arrives At London Assembly

Councillor Gary Malcolm presents residents' signatures to Caroline Pidgeon

After going door to door to collect signatures, Lib Dem councillor, Gary Malcolm presented a petition asking the Mayor and Transport for London to arrange for the Piccadilly Line tube to stop at Turnham Green station to the London Assembly.

The petition, signed by over 600 people, mainly those who live in the vicinity of the Turnham Green tube station or users of the station, was given to Greater London Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon.

Caroline Pidgeon AM, who is Deputy Chair of the Assembly’s Transport Committee, will ensure that the Mayor and Transport for London receive the petition and then get a response from the Mayor.

Councillor Gary Malcolm said, “A huge number of residents will benefit if the Piccadilly Line tube is scheduled to stop at Turnham Green tube throughout the day and not just in the morning and evenings. When the Liberal Democrats knocked on doors or were handing out leaflets outside the tube station we had great support from residents.”
