Fifth fatality at local tube station in recent years
Turnham Green Tube Station was closed for a number of hours on Monday following a fatal accident.
The incident happened at 10.40 on Monday 29th January when a person went under a train.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said that the death was been treated was non suspicious but it was for the coroner to decide whether it was sucide.
The safety record of the station has been questioned by regular users. It has one of the highest fatality rates for any station on the tube network in recent years.
