New Oriental Grocery Store To Open In Chiswick

Thai House will stock Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, Chinese and Thai ingredients

Chiswick High Road is gaining a new oriental grocery store. Formally ‘Happy Nails' nail bar, the new ‘Thai House' is amid renovations to offer Chiswick residents access to authentic Japanese, Indonesian, Korean, Chinese and Thai ingredients.

The mini supermarket will stock an array of popular groceries across all the aforementioned cuisines, and will aim to introduce lots of specialised ingredients and flavours to customers at very reasonable prices.

Suitira Boonpahula of Thai House said, ‘I am very happy to be opening Thai House - it is something that I and my family have been working towards for just over a year. The pandemic has of course made things challenging, but we are very much looking forward to finally being able to open our doors, and welcome lots of new customers to our store.'

A successful application was made to Hounslow council to extend the existing unit alongside a change of use from a nail bar to a grocery store. Thai House can be located on Essex Place - the units just in front of Sainsbury's supermarket just off the main high street in Chiswick.

An exact opening date is not known yet due to the uncertainties created by the Covid-19 pandemic, however the owners are aiming for the first week of February.

Thai House will be at Pitch3, Essex Place, Chiswick, W4 5UJ and can be contacted on 020 8742 1324.
