No More 'Never Mind the Bollards' in Chiswick
IRIS campaign leads to the removal of a dozen examples of street clutter

A group of local people who are attempting to eradicate street clutter from Chiswick are already seeing results.
Just three weeks after the launch of Identify and Report Irrelevant Signage (IRIS) was announced at a Chiswick Area Forum meeting, there have been a dozen examples of the removal of irrelevant signage initiated by the group.
Residents are being encouraged to use the FixMyStreet app to make Hounslow Council aware of abandoned signs or unnecessary street furniture.
Tim Mack from IRIS has appealed to Chiswick to locals to continue this effort and repeated the group's thanks to the council for its generally quick and efficient response.
IRIS reports a bit of a mystery with the "cheeky" bollards on the High Road that remain in place despite being reported through Fix My Street more than once and by more than one person. They are near the Netheravon Road junction. The group says it is waiting for councillors to get back to it to understand if more needs doing to remove them from dangerously near pedestrian access to the bus stop.
