From Chiswick to Downing Street
Primary School Head, Anne-Marie Inwood, recognised by Prime Minister
Cavendish Primary School Head Teacher Anne-Marie Inwood was a guest at 10 Downing Street this week to meet the Prime Minister and his wife to celebrate Cavendish Primary being in the top 100 schools nationally –not just for London - in both the added value and most improved league tables.
Pictured right, Anne-Marie had a long discussion with Tony Blair and posed a challenging question or two.
Also present were Lord Adonis (Minister of Schools in London) and The Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP (Minister for Education).
Cavendish Primary School is a small, caring, school which is very much part of the community.
Their mission statement is "We aim to achieve high standards of education by providing a broad and balanced curriculum in which children are actively involved in their own learning. We endeavour to develop independence, motivation and enthusiasm in all children whatever their ability. Each child and family are a valued part of our community regardless of race, religion, gender, social class or abilities.
We make particularly good use of our attractive grounds to extend the children’s work in all areas of the curriculum, especially art, language and science. We feel that Cavendish is an exciting place to be with children, staff, parents and the community working together to create a stimulating learning environment."
