You're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore

July 25, 2023

The Year 6 pupils at Strand on the Green Juniors bid a fond farewell to the school last week with a blistering performance of School of Rock.

Parents and family members were treated to a joyous mash-up of rock classics and down-with-the-kids pop bangers. And there was plenty to entertain even those who don't worship at the altar of rock. Highlights included stirring solos, a rousing group performance of 'Vois sur ton Chemin', gymnastics prowess, a beautiful piano interlude, and even a spot of Ukrainian breakdancing.

Kev Thorne, School Business Manager said, “The children's moment in the spotlight was a fitting way to mark the end to their Strand schools’ career. As an extra treat, they were surprised on the night with good-luck video messages from rock royalty Robbie Williams and Adam Lambert. All at Strand wish the class of 2023 the very best as they rock on to secondary school. And remember kids, always stick it to The Man!”
