Healthy Eating Week at William Hogarth School

Pupils, staff and parents join in morning aerobics

Last week The William Hogarth School held their Healthy Living Week. Pupils and staff began each day with whole school aerobics in the playground. On a number of mornings parents joined in too.

A ‘bike’ breakfast was held on Tuesday for all pupils who had walked, biked or ‘scooted’ to school. Workshops were provided by a number of groups including the Broncos and Rambert and as well as rugby and dance, the children took part in cheerleading and circus skills.

The week ended with pupils donating money to Action Aid in return for bringing their bears into school. They raised £101.

A spokesperson for the school said, " The week taught pupils not just about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle but encouraged them to have a lot of fun too. "
