Acton Lane Closures Expected to Lead to Jams
Work taking place to lay electricity cables to new buildings

Further closures of Acton Lane between the junctions with Bollo Lane and the Essex Place roundabout by Sainsbury’s are taking place later this month. Significant extra traffic delays are expected.
Hounslow Council has posted details of a traffic order to enable closure on lampposts in the vicinity which applies until the end of the year.
However, a council spokesperson has specified that the works are only expected to occur during the school’s half term break from Friday 21 October to Sunday 29 October.
The lane closures are required to enable electricity cables to be laid to new buildings in the area.
Initially Acton Lane will be closed southbound from Chiswick Park station to Essex Place until Monday 23 October. During this phase of the works southbound traffic will be directed along South Parade and down Turnham Green Terrace.
Then from Tuesday 24 October the northbound lane will be closed from the junction with Chiswick Road to the Bollo Lane junction with work expected to be completed by Sunday. Northbound traffic will be directed up Turnham Green Terrace and along South Parade.
It is not expected that the Fishers Lane underpass will reopen during the closures.
