Wellesley Road Traffic Consultation Comments Need To Be Resubmitted
Council 'technical' issue meant responses from locals didn't register

A Hounslow Council 'technical' issue with the Wellesley Road area consultation on traffic, means that residents will have to re-submit their responses.
The Council admitted that "a technical issue with the survey was reported to us this week.
"Due to this issue, survey responses completed on or before Tuesday 8 November have not registered. The issue has now been resolved, but unfortunately anyone who completed the survey before yesterday will need to do so again for the response to be considered", said a transport spokesman.
The Council says it apologises for the inconvenience this has caused, and to mitigate against this as much as possible, have extended the survey deadline by two weeks to Sunday 18 December.
Letters are now being delivered to local residents to inform them of the change.
You can revisit the survey and submit your response. The consultation is to get views from residents in the area around Wellesley Road, Stile Hall Gardens and other nearby streets so that plans may be drawn up to facilitate a better traffic flow towards the South Circular (near Kew Bridge).

During peak times it can take more than 20 minutes to get from one end of the street to the other according to residents. At present Stile Hall Gardens has a 20 mph speed limit but locals say this is ignored and they claim the average speed is above 35 mph. Wellesley Road forms part of the proposed Cycle Superhighway route in the Borough. The problem was identified last year when a Council survey started with local residents to identify existing transport issues ahead of consultation on the cycle highway. Locals told them that there were high levels of concern about non-local traffic in the area and this would cause difficulties for cycling. A petition was lodged calling for action on the problems, signed by 102 residents, representing 75 of the 104 households on Stile Hall Gardens.
