Fitted kitchen specialist Magnet is set to open a new showroom on Chiswick High Road.

It has submitted a planning application to Hounslow Council for work at 309-317 Chiswick High Road which is at the base of the Botanic House development. The company is requesting permission to install new doors and windows as well as new signage.

The 212 sq m unit which is the equivalent of three normal shop units has remained vacant for the last three years.

The address was originally the site of Conduit House, a sixties three storey building which was the home of Rice, Mailboxes Etc and Yupa’s Thai Kitchen. It was demolished in 2019 as part of a £25 million redevelopment scheme and rebuilt as Botanic House with 21 flats on the upper floors.

The development came to market just as the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the ground floor units remained unoccupied until now with many of the existing tenants already finding new premises nearby.

The units on the ground floor of Botanic House were previously been advertised for let at £215,000 per annum.

The reference for the application is P/2023/1472 and you can find further details by using this to search on the planning section of the Hounslow Council website.
