Hounslow Council is proposing the redevelopment of a row of garages in Grove Park into housing.

The site, which is on Florence Gardens and owned by the council, is one a number of smaller sites across the borough it is planning to build on in order to reach its target of 5,000 new units by next year.

The proposal is for the demolition of the existing garages and the development of four flats (two 1-bedroom and two 2-bedroom). All the flats will have amenity spaces, cycle and bin storage.

The council says the flats will be provided for local people, which will reduce the housing waiting list.

Cromwood Housing Group a registered provider of social housing has been invited to explore the possibility of redeveloping the site.

A community engagement exercise is currently being held with comments needed before Wednesday 5 May.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
