Whistling Oyster, the seafood café and fishmonger, on Devonshire Road, has submitted an application for an extended licence for its premises.
It wants permission to serve alcohol in a new seating area on its first floor as well as for an additional hour from Tuesday to Saturday which it says will bring it in line with the other hospitality venues in the area.
This would mean the premises could open 9am to 11pm Tuesday to Saturday, closing an hour earlier on Monday and Sunday.
The outdoor seating, including tables facing Ingress Street, is only likely to be used in the warmer months of the year between April and October.
The venue, which was opened in the summer of 2022 by three friends including John Robinson who worked for 12 years at Covent Garden Fishmongers on Turnham Green Terrace, has managed to thrive despite starting up in very challenging economic circumstances.
If you have an comments to make on the application you can email licensing@hounslow.gov.uk.
