Group to advocate building on strengths and improve patient care for all users

Healthcare will be a key issue in the forthcoming General Election, and the Doctors and Dentists at Chiswick Health Centre (CHC) are keen to raise the profile of the Health Centre.

To this end, they have invited a number of patients to prepare the ground to form a patients’ participation group.

The purpose of the group will be to advocate building on CHC’s existing strengths to extend its scope and improve patient care for all users, including the 25,000 patients registered there.

The Friends of Chiswick Health Centre will be launched at a public meeting at Chiswick Health Centre at 19.00 on Monday 19 April. All patients and users of the Centre are welcome.

This initial meeting will last no more than an hour. NHS Hounslow has been invited to contribute by commenting on the role of Chiswick Health Centre and recognising the importance of patients’ views.

The group looks forward to receiving patient input to enable it to reflect local feelings and any concerns about CHC.

It would be helpful if those planning on attending could email fchc@hotmail.co.uk or drop a slip from the leaflets available in CHC into the box on the Community reception desk there.
