A fire broke out this Monday morning (11 September) at a house which residents say is the former residence of broadcaster Ant McPartlin.

The Fire Brigade says it received the first call about the incident at Grove Park Gardens at 9.46am. Six fire engines with around 40 firefighters from Chiswick, Hammersmith, Richmond and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.

They deployed one of the Brigade's 32m ladders to help douse the flames.

Due to a cordon around the incident, we weren’t able to confirm which house had caught fire.

Residents also reported an ambulance leaving the scene with its siren sounding but the Fire Brigade have not indicated at this stage that anyone was injured as a result of the blaze.

The fire was under control before midday and an investigation has begun into the cause.
