Fire in Harvard Road

A car was burned out in mystery blaze

London Fire Brigade were called last night (Dec 3rd) to a fire in Harvard Road.

Two units of the fire services and police attended the scene which centred around a parked car.

The fire destroyed the car and local people speculated that the blaze may have been started by a discarded cigarette which then set leaves alight.

Locals said there were piles of dry leaves gathered on the road and pavement which had not been removed. It is thought the car belongs to a local resident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
