Teenage Girl Assaulted Near Chiswick Railway Station


Unknown assailant punched her repeatedly as she lay on the floor

A 19-year-old woman was subjected to a violent assault near Chiswick railway station in the early hours of Thursday morning (29 December).

The attack took place at around 12.30am as the victim got off a bus in Burlington Lane, Chiswick near to the station. She crossed the road and moments later she was attacked from behind by an unknown male. He hit her on the back of her head and then punched her repeatedly as she lay on the floor.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance and discharged later that day.

The attacker is described as a white man, over 6ft tall, of broad build and aged around forty years.

Anyone who witnessed the assault, has information that may assist the investigation or believes they may know the identity of the attacker should call Hounslow CID via 101.
