Man Arrested Then Bailed in Chiswick Sexual Assaults Investigation


22-year-old man arrested in south London on Friday

Detectives from Hounslow Borough investigating a number of sexual assaults on women in Chiswick have arrested then bailed a 22-year-old man.

He was detained on Friday 12 December, at his home address in south London, on suspicion of sexual assault.

He was taken into custody at a west London police station then bailed to return to a west London police station on a date in mid February 2015 pending further enquiries.

There were four attacks in women in the Chiswick area last month. On Friday, 14 November near a bus stop in Chiswick High Road at 8.15 pm; on Saturday 15 November, at 2 am, as a woman walked along Dukes Avenue towards Hadley Gardens, she was assaulted in Barrowgate Road; at 5am that same day, a woman was assaulted near Ravenscourt Park W6; and Sunday 30 November at 3 am a woman walked from Chiswick High Road to Dukes Avenue, having got off a bus near Turnham Green, she was assaulted in Sharon Road.

A police statement said that enquiries in the case continue.
