Friends Gather to Remember Issy

Teenager would have turned sixteen this week

Friends of Isobel Jones-Reilly who would have turned sixteen this week, have paid tribute to her by gathering and leaving fresh flowers under a tree at Chiswick Back Common.

A poignant note was pinned to the tree on the common, which has turned into a shrine to the teenager, to mark her birthday on February 15th.

The Chiswick Community student, who was known as Issy, to her friends, died in April last year following an unsupervised party in north Kensington at the home of university lecturer Brian Dodgeon.

She was rushed to hospital after taking drugs found at the house which he later admitted belonged to him. Last year he received an eight month sentence suspended for two years, after admitting four charges of possessing drugs.

Issy’s death sparked a debate over the issue of unsupervised teenage parties and the temptation for young people to experiment with drugs.
