And appeal for help piecing together the last days of Sean Keohane's life
The man found dead at a house on Chiswick High Road at the weekend has been identified as Sean Keohane.
Keohane, aged 66, had been seen knocking on doors in the area having suffered a head injury. Police believe he may have been confused and was looking for his home address.
His body was discovered after officers were called to a home on the High Road around 1.00am on Saturday 8th. Keohane was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem has proven to be inconclusive and the results of further tests are awaited.
Police are treating his death as "unexplained" and have appealed to the public for information.
It is known that a man matching Sean Keohane's description knocked at a door of an address in Chiswick High Rd sometime between late on Wednesday night, 5th September, and the early hours of Thursday morning, 6th September.
He could have knocked at other houses along Chiswick High Road during that time and they are appealing for anyone who saw him or opened their door to him to contact them. He appeared to be confused and was possibly looking for his own address. He may have had blood on him from a head injury.
Sean Keohane was a well known member of the Chiswick community and of the parish of Our Lady of Grace & St Edwards where he was the organist for many years.
Officers are appealing to anyone who knows Sean Keohane or could assist them in piecing together his movements last week to call the Incident Room at Hendon on 020 8358 0400 or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
