Chiswick conductor in court on indecent assault charges


Da Vinci Code impresario accused of improper conduct with underage boy

Renowned conductor Robert King, has been charged with indecently assaulting three males, one aged under 16.


The 45 year old resident of Redcliffe Gardens, Chiswick has been charged with five counts of indecent assault on three men, identified only as A, allegedly assaulted once in 1985, B allegedly assaulted twice between April and September 1985, and C, allegedly assaulted once between 1982 and 1984, who was under 16 at the time.

He is currently on trial at Ealing Magistrates Court.


Robert King founded The King's Consort period instrument orchestra and choir whilst still a student and chorister with the world famous choir of St John's College Cambridge.

Throughout his career as musician, author, and broadcaster he won many awards has recently worked on film music for Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven, Shrek 2, and The Da Vinci Code and is considered to be one of the world’s leading conductors.
