On Saturday 22nd April 2006 at 16.30 a young boy was threatened with violence before being robbed.

The incident took place on the towpath by the River Thames in Dukes Meadows.  The victim, a 12 year old boy from Putney, was cycling along the towpath towards Richmond with three friends when he was stopped by two suspects on mountain bikes.

The boy was threatened with being beaten and being thrown into a bush before being searched.

The suspects took a Sony Ericsson mobile phone from the victim's trouser pocket.

The two suspects were described as youths aged about 16 years, one white and one black.

The white youth was about 5’08”, wearing a white T shirt with a grey top tied around the waist. The black youth was about 5’07”, wearing dark clothing.

The robbery happened near playing fields close to Alexandra Gardens and the suspects rode off towards Alexandra Gardens/Edensor Road.
