Chiswick Police are seeking witnesses to a theft of over US$3,000 in cash from Chiswick Post Office.

The incident happened on Wednesday 28th September at 3.00pm, a relatively busy time for the Heathfield Terrace branch. 

A suspect approached the Post Office counter and requested US$3,000 in cash with an additional US$100 in $5 notes.  The suspect then placed a pile of what looked like £50 notes on the counter and asked to feel the dollar bills.  When told this was not possible, the suspect held his hands up in the air and declared "I am a man of God!" at which point he grabbed the cash from the post office employee and ran out of the building.

His accomplice demanded a further US$1,000 shouting "I want some too" before he too fled albeit empty handed.

Both suspects got into a car driven by a third man.  The car, which made off at high speed along Heathfield Terrace was described by a witness as a black vehicle however, Police believe it was a grey Nissan Primera.

The first suspect is described as a clean shaven Asian man between 35 to 40 years old, around 5'8" in height and wearing a brown cap and a brown suede jacket.  The second suspect, also a clean shaven Asian male, was around 5'9" wearing a blue striped long sleeved shirt.
