Chiswick-based broadcaster Jamie Theakston is asking local people for assistance in tracing a car which was stolen in front of his home this Sunday night (1 October) or in the early hours of Monday morning.

The thieves will probably have a hard time shifting the instantly recognisable vehicle which was taken from Barrowgate Road between 11pm and 5am.

It is a java green 1977 Triumph Stag with black convertible hood and green upholstery with the registration UEK 82S.

The Heart breakfast show presenter describes it as his pride and joy and he has owned it for over 20 years.

His has taken the vehicle on a tour of Europe and a trip to the Scottish Highlands as well as competing in it in classic car rallies.

In 2021, Theakston featured his Stag in a video for the Triumph Stag Owners Club in which he talks about his love of the car and shares some of his favorite memories of driving it.

If you spotted it being driven in the area since late on Sunday night contact Jamie via social media in the first instance.

Luckily Jamie's dogs were not in the car when it was taken
