Police officers investigating a serious unprovoked attack that took place last month at the Packhorse and Talbot pub in Chiswick have released images of two men they wish to speak to in connection.

The police were called to the pub on the High Road at 11.20pm on Saturday, 19 February.

A 40-year-old member of staff was left with serious injuries to his head, neck, arm and hand and has undergone extensive reconstructive surgery. His injuries will require ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Another man was also subjected to an assault by multiple people, leaving him with a broken nose, swelling and bruising.

Detectives have now identified 30-year-old John Paul McDonagh from Greenford and 19-year-old Shamus Mongan from Hendon as people they wish to speak to about the incident.

Both men are known to frequent other areas and could be anywhere in London.

Detective Sergeant Luke Taylor said, “This was an unprovoked attack that left the victim with really serious injuries that will have a lasting impact. This sort of violence cannot be allowed to stand and we will do all we can to bring those responsible to justice.

“We have carried out a number of enquiries since the incident and have been able to identify two named individuals who we want to locate and speak to urgently. We have taken the decision to release their photos and their names in the hope that someone knows them, or knows where they are.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC with the reference 7914/19FEB.
