From Friday 21 November until 4 January 2026, visitors can step inside the historic rooms of Chiswick House for The Twelfth Night of Christmas, a theatrical festive journey created by CLW Event Design and Underbelly.

This marks the first time the 18th-century Neo-Palladian villa has hosted a Christmas installation, offering a rare opportunity to explore its opulent interiors dressed in seasonal splendour.

Inspired by the 1780 carol The Twelve Days of Christmas, the experience transforms Chiswick House into a world of Georgian fantasy, complete with bespoke sculptures, dramatic floristry, and lavish costumes. Visitors will journey through a series of themed rooms culminating in a grand banquet tableau in the lower tribune, echoing the house’s original purpose as a place of entertainment and excess.

For younger guests, an 18th-century grotto featuring Father Christmas will run from 29 November to 24 December, offering festive storytelling and gifts. Children can also follow the Christmas Mouse Trail, a whimsical scavenger hunt through the verses of the carol, with rhyming clues and mischievous mice hidden throughout the house.

The event is a collaboration between CLW Event Design, co-founded by Charlotte Lloyd Webber and Adrian Lillie, and Underbelly, the live entertainment company behind Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club and Macbeth starring Ralph Fiennes. Both are known for immersive, site-specific productions that reimagine heritage spaces for modern audiences.
