Chiswick House Grounds Users Say It With Trees

Festive thank you messages to staff appear in the park

We are all familiar with the phrase 'say it with flowers' but now regular visitors to Chiswick House Grounds are showing their appreciation for the staff using trees.

Diane Schaefer, who works for the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust told us, "We have noticed to our surprise that visitors to the Gardens have been decorating a tree by Chiswick House with pretty decorations and wonderful messages. It has been gradually building every day."

Messages include the following from Julie and Pete, "Merry Christmas and thank you to all the staff, gardeners, wardens and volunteers who help make Chiswick Grounds look so lovely and a special place."

Others are marked with paw prints indicating that Christmas thanks are also being given by the canine community.

The winter open hours for the grounds are:

Everyday (including Christmas day) 7am – 4:10pm
Café 9am – 3:30pm (only closed 25th December)
