Plant Fair In Aid Of Macmillan Cancer Charity

A chance to see a beautiful private garden and buy plants

The third annual Chiswick Macmillan Plant Fair will take place on Thursday, May 10th at, 2, The Orchard, W4 1JX, a short walk from Turnham Green Underground Station.

All those who came in previous years thought it a really fun occasion and a chance to see a beautiful private garden which is normally not open to the public. As before, there will be a huge range of flowering plants  and vegetables at bargain prices (please see website for list), as well as tea, coffee and lots of delicious home-made cakes, biscuits, jams, marmalades, and preserves. Savoury foods available at lunchtime. Their highly successful second-hand book stall will be back, and this year there is an especially good choice of children’s books - a really fantastic selection of the very latest books for children of all ages, generously donated by Amanda Craig, children’s book reviewer for The Times.

Last year the plant fair raised £8,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which is funding a neuro-oncology specialist in west London. This year, they hope to do even better. Entry to the fair is £2 (children free), and opening times are 8.30am-3pm. Further information from the website: www.macmillanchiswick.com
