Bands Raise Vital Funds For Charity


Rock for the night at the George IV to help children

Alternative rock band, The Wood Demons is playing a gig on April 11th at The George IV, Chiswick, with bands Shakespeare and the Bible and The Kitchen Drinkers to raise money for local charity – thebridge- .

The gig will run from 7.30 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. Tickets cost £8 and can be bought on the door.

-thebridge- works with children and families in Richmond and from across South West London with social communication difficulties such as Aspergers syndrome through regular sport and drama activities.

Sam Silver, founder of –thebridge- said : “Without fundraising events such this, the charity would not be able to continue its important work.“

“In the last year alone –thebridge- has worked with 70 families through sports and drama activities to improve the communication skills of young people with difficulties such as Attention Deficit Disorder or Aspergers syndrome so that they can form relationships and be successful in their education and work.

We want to continue to provide this level of support which is often a lifeline to children and families and hope this event can raise funds to help us to continue to do so.”

-thebridge- is a Richmond-based charity, set up in 2002 to help children and families with social communication difficulties by providing a regular, fun activities.
