Moss video being examined by Police

Footage of supermodel's Chiswick cocaine shame under investigation

Police are currently examining the infamous video footage of Kate Moss allegedly snorting cocaine that they received from the Daily Mirror.

The supermodel was secretly filmed by a 'friend' of her former beau at Metropolis Recording Studios in Chiswick's Power House back in September 2005.

The film was taken during a recording session at the studio for Moss' now ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles.

Kate Moss, who has chosen to stay out of London's limelight, is currently in America.  Press reports allege that she is 'afraid' to return home, unsure of what charges she will face.  Moss will discover the results of the police investigation after officers involved in the case have consulted the Crown Prosecution Service.

Met Police Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur told the Evening Standard, "I am appealing to Kate to come back and give her side of the story."

It is thought likely that if she admits taking the drug, she will receive a caution.
The Metropolitan Police have a policy of pursuing drug dealers rather than users and detectives are also using the video to try to establish who supplied the drugs.
