Chiswick Auction House hold sale of notorious Kray twins' private effects

Chiswick Auction House will be selling the private effects of the notorious gangsters, the Kray twins on Monday 26th January.

Director William Rouse said, "This unique collection is being offered for sale and is a once in a life time opportunity to own a souvenir from their deceased estate.

"There are lots 144 lots, which we have not estimated, as it is too difficult to put expected prices on the lots - they are here to be sold to the highest bidder!"

Included in the sale is a black and white photograph of Reggie & Francis Kray on their wedding day, a solicitors letter to Reggie Kray explaining his refusal of parol dated 30th May 1995 and a letter to Ronnie Kray, from artist Francis Bacon.

Suits, cuff links, ornate lighters and jewellery including a gold crucifix & chain are also offered for sale as are hand written poems by Reggie Kray and a number of signed and dedicated photographs send to Reggie Kray from Barbara Streisand, Patsy Kensit, Mark Knoppler, Jimmy Ruffin and Fern Briton!

All the items were sent from Broadmoor and Parkhurst Prison, Isle of Wight.

Viewings: Sunday 18th January (12 Noon - 6pm), Monday 19th January, (10am - 6pm), Sunday 25th January (12 Noon - 6pm, Monday 26th (10am till the sale starts at 6pm).

Last year two oil paintings by the Kray twins went under the hammer Chiswick Auction House. They were sold to a private bidder for £4,800.
