Volunteers Needed for Chiswick Brownies

Sign up so more Brownies can join in the fun

The 11th Chiswick Brownie Pack at St. Michael's Church in Elmwood Road is looking for volunteers to help manage the unit. The pack has been a part of the local community for 62 years but the Brownie Pack leader Angela Humphriss needs some help, following the recent departure of her co-leader.

Volunteers are urgently needed to join in as Unit Helpers or Assistant leaders so that more girls can join up. At the moment, the unit is full and there is a waiting list.

The 11th Chiswick Brownie Pack was formed in January 1950 and the unit is part of the wider Girlguiding UK association, catering for girls aged between 7-10 years old. The pack meets on Friday evenings during term time, at the St. Michael's Centre hall adjacent to the church on Elmwood Road.

"The girls get involved in a range of activities, from games and activities to helping out at the church summer fete. We also work to achieve Brownie badges; this year we have covered badges involving art and music and next we will be working on gardening and sign language skills!" says Angela Humphriss.
