Abundance Chiswick Plans Green High Road

Festival will coincide with Chelsea Flower Show

Abundance Chiswick has announced that its next project is a plan to create an Edible High Road for ‘Chelsea Fringe at Chiswick’.

The Chelsea Fringe is a brand new festival which will be held throughout London over three weeks from 18th May - 10th June at the same time as the Chelsea Flower Show. Chelsea Fringe will complement the renowned show and will be similar in spirit and adventurousness to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Chiswick’s contribution will be The Edible High Road. The volunteers hope to create a display of fruit trees along the High Road, and up Turnham Green Terrace and Devonshire Road. Retailers, restaurants and anyone who would like to participate is invited to host a fruit tree (in a pot) for the three-week duration of the Festival.

The group now needs someone, preferably with a greenhouse, to grow them some salads and other edible stuff, to be planted around the bases of the fruit trees. If anyone has some space in their greenhouse and would like to be involved in the project, please contact them at info@abundancelondon.com
