Funny Play About The Olympics

Christchurch plays host to family comedy

Christchurch, Turnham Green, is hosting a unique theatrical event suitable for all the family on Friday, 20th April at 7.30pm. Monsieur de Coubertin's Magnificent Opymlic Feat! Written by Bridget Foreman and Paul Burbridge, who also directs, it is subtitled ' sprinting backwards to the Olympics'.

The play has been described as a new and extraordinary piece of theatre by the Riding Lights Theatre Company about the revival of the modern Olympics in Athens in 1896.  Suitable for all ages and the whole family (but will most appeal to those over 11), the show reveals some hilarious sources of Coubertin’s inspiration and draws out the comedy of those first competitive events, also capturing the ‘moment’ in the build up to London 2012.  Tickets £12.50, concessions £10, groups of 10+ £9.  Box Office 01904 613000
